Central Pharmacy first opened by Bernard Reilly in 1972, next door to the former Central Clinic and was mostly serviced by their patients. A decade later, David Honore became a partner and the pharmacy soon grew out of its space and a move across the street to the corner of Haupapa and Amohia St was inevitable. Bernard retired in 2000 and Andy Drysdale joined David as the new partner in 2007. David and Andy felt the dispensary was too small, the number of staff and work was increasing and the stock inventory was huge.
Once again this burgeoning business was growing out of its limited space and another re-location was again unavoidable. In October 2009, the Pharmacy shifted across the road into a building incorporating Central Health Medical and Mokoia X-Ray.
Central Pharmacy’s motto is “First in value, First in service”.
This underlying discipline has served as the constant guiding light for the business through all its expansions and today is delivered to each and every customer by our dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
